Bahrain-based Investcorp has appointed financial services veteran Jan Erik Back as group chief financial officer.
Back joins from Swedish financial services firm SEB, where he was executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Prior to SEB, Back was chief financial officer at portfolio manager Skandia and then energy company Vattenfall. He started his career with Swedish bank Handelsbanken.

This experience will be extremely valuable to ensure the first-class financial reporting standards and management that we strive for, continue to be delivered and adhered to,” Mohammed Alardhi, Investcorp’s executive chairman said.
From 2003 to 2015 the role of CFO was held by Rishi Kapoor who is now co-chief executive officer of Investcorp.
Earlier this year the firm told PEI it was considering a blind-pool fund model.
