Azalea Capital names CCO

Barbara Anderson will oversee the firm’s financial reporting and compliance function. 

South Carolina-based private equity firm Azalea Capital named Barbara Anderson as controller and chief compliance officer.

Anderson will be responsible for the firm’s financial reporting, risk management and regulatory compliance. She was previously controller at Island Global Yachting and before that Pure Barre, both based in South Carolina, before spending the majority of her 25-year career in the New England area with KPMG, Xerox and Starwood Capital Group.

Azalea Capital invests in manufacturing, distribution, business services, consumer products and healthcare companies.

As of this month, Azalea Capital has raised $60 million towards its fourth buyout fund, Azalea Fund IV. The fund has a target of $125 million, according to PEI’s Research and Analytics division.Â
