Backing up your ESG claims

ESG: Compliance teams are the heart of your firm’s ESG programs. After all, what good is having ESG goals and policies if no one understands or abides by them? The SEC just handed BNY Mellon a (small) fine for supposed greenwashing, and new disclosures are going to be required under a proposed SEC rule. Jen Banzaca reports from the Private Fund Compliance Forum earlier this week, where compliance pros discussed how to keep your firm on its ESG track.
