Blue Wolf hires new CFO

The firm tapped a new financial chief following the departure of its longtime CFO in July.

Blue Wolf Capital Partners has hired Eve Gerriets Mongiardo as chief financial officer and chief compliance officer following a brief period as the firm’s interim CFO.

Mongiardo officially assumed the CFO role on Sept. 1. She had served as interim CFO since June 1. As CFO, Mongiardo oversees financial reporting, investor relations and compliance. She replaces Joshua Cherry-Seto, who left the firm to join StartUp Health as partner and CFO to help expand the firm’s global investing platform and support its portfolio of health innovation start-ups.

Cherry-Seto was hired as Blue Wolf Capital’s first full-time CFO in 2013. He helped grow the firm, from $100 million in investments to $3 billion in assets under management.

In her new role as CFO and CCO, Mongiardo will also be charged with managing a growing investment portfolio.

Prior to Blue Wolf, Mongiardo provided consulting and advisory services, including CFO advisory services, best practice, operational excellence review and capital raising initiatives.

She also spent nearly 12 years with Irving Place Capital, where she was a chief operating officer and partner. Previously, she was the CFO at Soros Private Funds Management for four years and also served as a vice-president at Goldman Sachs for nine years.
