Carlyle execs talk social linked lines; friends remember Harvest CFO Unger

Carlyle on its $4.1bn diversity-linked sub line; friends remember Marc Unger, Harvest Partners CFO, and raise money for a scholarship in his name.

Sub lines: I spoke with Carlyle’s Megan Starr and Kara Helander about the firm’s door-busting ESG-linked fund facility, green financing and more. Carlyle’s line is the first line linked entirely to social goals, and the biggest ESG-linked sub line in the US market, the firm says.

People: Harvest Partners’ widely beloved CFO, Marc Unger, passed away in December. I spoke to a dozen of his industry friends, who remembered Marc as a mentor, confidant, friend and family man, whose warmth and openness put him at the center of a uniquely close-knit group of industry peers.

Friends of Marc’s have organized a webpage to raise money for a scholarship in his name at his alma mater, Lehigh University.
