Crestline expands fund solutions team

Crestline has hired a director of business development in its fund solutions team, as the firm looks to expand its client base.

Crestline Investors, a Texas-based alternative asset manager focused on credit, has appointed Bryan Fischer to director, business development.

Fischer, working out of the Fort Worth office, will focus on new client relationships and expanding Crestline’s fund liquidity solutions team. Before joining Crestline, he served as a regional director for BDO in its Dallas office, covering merger specialists and financial sponsors in the US Southwest.

Earlier, Fischer, a Boston College graduate, served as a director of business development for insurance company Great American Group and vice-president of sales at communications consultancy Gravity Partners.

Crestline specializes in credit financing and restructuring strategies for mature private equity funds.

David Philipp, Crestline partner and co-head of the fund liquidity solutions, said that with Fischer’s hire, the FLS team would look to expand awareness of its offerings to a “wider universe of private equity, real estate and infrastructure sponsors.” Philipp noted that GPs in today’s market want new ways to increase access to capital and expand the time period to create value for certain portfolio companies.
