Deloitte names head of investment management team

Patrick Henry will replace Cary Stier in the investment management practice.

Global financial services company Deloitte has promoted Patrick Henry to lead Deloitte’s US investment management practice. Henry was previously a partner in the firm and is now vice chairman and leader of the cross-functional investment management practice.

In his new role, Henry will be responsible for the development and implementation of sector initiatives across Deloitte’s audit, tax, consulting and advisory businesses.

Henry has worked at Deloitte for 25 years. For six years, Henry was based in the firm’s Hong Kong office and led Deloitte’s Asia-Pacific financial services industry practice.

Henry will replace Cary Stier who is taking on a broader role in the company, leading Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited member firms’ investment management practice globally. He is currently chairman of Deloitte’s U.S. retirement committee, where he has fiduciary responsibilities for the defined contribution and defined benefit plans.

In addition to their new leadership positions, both Henry and Stier will also keep their client-focused roles.
