Fund Finance Partners adds FFA’s diversity co-chair as partner

The consultancy has hired the Fund Finance Association's co-chair of Diversity in Fund Finance as a partner.

Fund Finance Partners, a Chicago-based firm that sources, negotiates and structures fund finance transactions for alternative investment managers, has hired Anastasia Kaup as partner in Chicago.

Anastasia Kaup

Kaup, who serves as co-chair of the Fund Finance Association’s Diversity in Fund Finance initiative, most recently led the fund finance practice at AmLaw 300. There, she represented managers, sponsor-backed entities and lenders across NAV-based facilities, partner loan programs, management fee lines, portfolio finance transactions, structured finance and derivatives.

She has also been recognized for her LGBTQ+ advocacy, volunteer work and educational initiatives, and was a leader at Out in Finance and Lambda Legal. While an associate at Mayer Brown – where FFP co-founders Zac Barnett and Richard Richard Wheelahan also worked – she was recognized as one of the “Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40” by the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. Kaup has also served on the board of directors of New York’s largest civil rights and advocacy non-profit organization, according to FFP. She is further involved in various professional organizations serving the Hispanic/Latinx community, women and individuals in need.
