iLevel undergoes rebrand

PE Manager tracks third party service providers: Alvarez & Marsal finds someone to lead its global forensic practice in Asia, iLevel unveils its new look; and more.

• Private equity firm Estancia Capital Partners acquired a minority interest in fund administrators Equinoxe Alternative Investment Services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

• Cloud-based software provider iLevel Solutions rebranded to the more simple iLevel. Changes made by iLevel include a new website as well as changes to the company’s visual identity, positioning and messaging. As part of the rebrand, iLevel will include a “Thought Leadership” section to its website that will feature whitepapers, case studies and other content related to technology in the private capital marketplace . 

• Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking added director Dave Furlong and associate director Kate Grimoldby to its North of England acquisition finance team. Furlong joins from HSBC where he was deputy head of leveraged finance for the North of England. Grimoldby arrives from RBS having been a director in the northern corporate transactions team, responsible for executing leveraged deals. 

• Investec Specialist Bank appointed Mikael Busch to the Investec fund finance team. Busch joins from ICON Investments, an alternative debt provider, and will focus on lending to the secondary private equity market.

• Veronica John, previously a senior advisor to Vietnam-focused private equity firm Mekong Capital, joined placement agent Diamond Dragon Advisors as a senior advisor based in Singapore.

• Business Talent Group, consultants that match industry professionals to private equity firms in need of operational expertise, has added director Paul Tufaro to its client development team. Tufaro was formally an equity analyst at brokerage firm Telsey Advisory Group.

• Keith Williamson joined Alvarez & Marsal as Asia leader of its global forensic and dispute business in Hong Kong and China. Williamson was previously a managing director at business consultants AlixPartners.

• BNP Paribas subsidiary Bank of the West appointed John Thurston, the bank's commercial banking regional manager in Chicago, to also head the bank's private equity team.
