IVP names Hogan as CFO

The former CFO of Elevation Partners has been named head of finance at the venture capital firm.

Venture capital firm Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) has appointed private equity veteran Tracy Hogan as its new chief financial officer.

Prior to joining IVP, Hogan served as the chief financial officer and chief compliance officer of Elevation Partners, the private equity firm led by Silicon Valley veterans and U2’s Bono, for more than 10 years. Elevation did not return a call for comment.

At IVP, Hogan will be responsible for managing the firm's financial, operational, and administrative activities, including partnership accounting, financial reporting, tax and treasury, regulatory compliance, information systems and human resources, according to a statement from IVP.

“Tracy's extensive finance and accounting experience in the private equity industry will strengthen our financial operations, and her in-depth regulatory and compliance experience will also be valuable to the firm,” said general partner at IVP Todd Chaffee in the statement.

Hogan has more than 15 years of experience in private equity finance, accounting, administration and operations. Prior to joining Elevation Partners, Hogan was the vice president of finance at Fox Paine & Company. Earlier in her career, Hogan served as the vice president of finance at Code Hennessy & Simmons. Hogan began her finance career at Ernst & Young's audit practice in Chicago and Boston.
