KRG Capital loses its controller to accounting firm

Third party service provider news: Carrie Heintz has joined MG Stover & Co; Elian names a chairman; Lloyds Bank appoints UK funds chief; more

MG Stover & Co, an accounting and administration firm, has hired Carrie Heintz as director of private equity and venture capital. Heintz worked at private equity firm KRG Capital Partners for 14 years on the fund administration function for four funds totaling $3.3 billion, as well as managing relations for more than 300 limited partners.

• Fund services firm Elian, formerly Ogier Fiduciary Services, has appointed John Connolly as group chairman. Connolly, a former global chairman and global managing partner of “Big Four” audit firm Deloitte, is currently chairman of FTSE 100 companies G4S and AMEC Foster Wheeler.

• Channel Island law firm Collas Crill and Cayman Island law firm Charles Adams Ritchie & Duckworth (CARD) have announced that, subject to regulatory approvals, will merge with effect from a date early in the New Year. The merger creates the first law firm with offices in Singapore, the Cayman Islands, London and each of the Channel Islands. The firm will remain as Collas Crill in Guernsey, Jersey, Singapore and London and trade as Collas Crill & CARD for a transitional period in the Cayman Islands.

• Investment research firm Edison strengthened its Sydney team of equity analysts with the appointment of Dennis Hulme and Moira Daw who join from stockbroking firm BBY Australia.

Laura Hill has joined placement agency Forbes Private Capital Group as a New York-based director, focused on institutional and family office investors in the Western U.S. She previously was director of corporate affairs at the Council of Foreign Relations and, before that, was a director in the capital formation unit of Fortress Investment Group.

Robert Friedman Jr has joined mid-market investment bank Dresner Partners as a healthcare-focused managing director. He previously was a managing director with broker dealer Northeast Securities.

Tom Leonardi, head of the Connecticut Insurance Department, has agreed to join investment bank Evercore as a senior advisor with a focus on the insurance industry.

• Channel Islands fund administrator, Sanne, has partnered with software provider eFront. The fund administrator will use eFront’s FrontInvest technology on its existing and new clients.

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has appointed Miranda Zhao as head of UK funds. Zhao, who joins from Erste Group Bank, will report to Robina Barker Bennett, global funds director, and will be based in London. The funds team manages the group’s relationship with a variety of funds, based in the UK, Europe and the US, specializing in private equity, real estate, infrastructure and loans.

• Former Securities and Exchange Commission examiner, Jason Rosenberg, has joined compliance consultants ACA Compliance as a senior principal consultant.
