Lafayette Square selects Allvue Systems as its data solution

With Allvue's technology, Lafayette Square intends to have its business functions streamlined to facilitate dataflow from portfolio management through to investment accounting.

Lafayette Square, an impact investment platform with a mission to invest in local US communities to drive impact outcomes, has selected Allvue Systems to drive automation across the organization.

Lafayette Square will look to capitalize on Allvue’s end-to-end technology to streamline its business functions to not only achieve operational efficiencies but, importantly, facilitate dataflow from portfolio management through to investment accounting.

“We are very happy to be associated with Lafayette Square, a financial impact investor, who provides capital to create economic opportunities for underserved people and communities,” Ryan Keough, chief revenue officer at Allvue, tells Private Funds CFO.

Better decisions

Allvue is a well-established alternative investment technology solutions provider. Its platform enables firms such as Lafayette Square to manage their full investment lifecycle and aggregate both investment and market data to make better decisions and “act on this information,” Keough says.

The software will integrate with Lafayette Square’s existing platforms, providing easy access to real-time deal information across its credit (direct lending), real estate and renewables investment programs.

Satyadeep “Bobby” Patnaik, chief technology officer at Lafayette Square, says that being technology and data-driven was key to making better decisions and running the business more efficiently. “As we continue to expand as a firm, we partnered with Allvue for their ability to support our growth model with the latest technology and seamless end-to-end integration.”

As more opportunities arise for direct lending managers, having the right infrastructure in place to act quickly and maintain effective operational oversight is becoming more mission critical.

Allvue’s platform will also help Lafayette Square to enhance its reporting capabilities by providing a single comprehensive view of the overall business, giving the firm the ability to analyze and monitor the details of every deal, and report to investors with greater transparency.

Having real-time visibility into their investments also allows fund managers to improve their understanding of overall portfolio risk, and to access convenient compliance. Moreover, it will help firms react to any market dynamics “that may impact their investments in real time, thus allowing them to take advantage of market opportunities before they pass by,” adds Keough.
