MJ Hudson boosts legal team

The asset management consultancy has added to its tax, financial regulation and fund restructuring expertise.

MJ Hudson has hired three senior lawyers as part of its mission to create a ‘one-stop shop’ service offering for alternative asset managers.

Christopher Dearie joins as financial services law and regulation partner from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He advises asset managers, banks and domestic and international investment funds on a range of financial regulatory issues.

Daniel Lewis, currently a partner at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer, will head the firm’s tax practice as partner. He advises corporate, institutional, investment management and private clients on the UK and international tax aspects of transactions.

Paul Durban joins as a senior associate and will focus on fund restructuring, finance and insolvency matters. He joins from Brown Rudnick.
