Montagu bolsters its senior management team with two hires

The London-based buyout firm adds a new CFO and a new head of its operational partners group.

London-based buyout firm Montagu Private Equity has hired Louise Denning as CFO and Tim Cochrane as Head of the Full Potential Partners (FPP), the firm’s operational partner group, expanding its senior management team.

Denning will join Montagu in April and Cochrane will join in May. Both will be based in London.

Denning joins Montagu from C Hoare & Co, where she was CFO for two years. Prior to that, she spent four years as deputy CFO at Tetragon Financial Group Limited.

She will take over from Graham Hislop, who is retiring after 18 years as finance director.

Cochrane comes to Montagu from Bain & Company, where he was senior partner in the private equity practice in London. He was with Bain for 17 years.

Prior to Bain, Cochrane was at Exxon Mobile Corporation for five years.

Cochrane will succeed Mark Dunfoy, who remains a director with the firm, focusing on new investments, the portfolio and board roles.
