PineBridge names Middle East-focused CFO

John Hopley joined the US-based fund of funds MENA arm as chief financial officer.

The Middle East and North Africa-focused team of US fund of funds PineBridge Investments hired John Hopley as chief financial officer.

Hopley joins PineBridge Investments Middle East from property development company Aldar Properties, which is based in the United Arab Emirates, where he was head of corporate finance, treasury, insurance and investor relations.

Hopley has held senior positions at private debt firm Prospect Capital Corporation and turnaround firm WL Ross & Co.

“John’s extensive financial services experience, and in particular his strong track record in corporate finance, private equity and real estate will add significant value to the business as we embark on our next phase of growth in the region,” Talal Al Zain, chief executive of PineBridge Investments Middle East, said in a statement.
