Prestige Capital names COO

Iain Fulton has been appointed chief operating officer of the Malta-based alternatives firm.

Prestige Capital Management named Iain Fulton as chief operating officer.

His appointment is largely to ensure the firm meets its ongoing regulatory obligations including the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), according to a statement.

Fulton joined the Malta-based alternatives firm from Sberbank CIB, Russia’s largest bank (formerly known as Troika Dialog). Fulton’s resume also includes time spent at Investcorp Bank in Bahrain, Merrill Lynch, Wellington Management International and London based Otkritie Securities Limited, a Russian-owned firm of stockbrokers.

“It is now over three years since we established a regulated investment management business in Malta and I have often been quoted as saying our business is all about good people and good processes,” said Prestige founder Craig Reeves.
