Sixpoint hires marketing coordinator

The mid-market investment bank brought in a former Abernathy MacGregor account executive to focus on marketing, media relations and external communications.

Alicia Battistoni, formerly an account executive at Abernathy MacGregor , a financial communications firm, has joined Sixpoint Partners in a newly-created position of marketing coordinator..

In her new role at Sixpoint, Battistoni will be focusing on marketing, media relations and external communications and will also work with the firm's underlying clients to ensure they have an effective communications strategy, Battistoni told private funds management . 

Battistoni spent three years at Abernathy MacGregor, where she focused on media relations, investor relations and managed client reputations in transformational events such as mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, crises, bankruptcies and management changes at firms including alternative investment firms. Battistoni also conducted research on new business opportunities for the firm. 

“We realize that there are many marketing channels available to firms like ours and our clients,” she said. “I'll specifically focus on penetrating these marketing channels to utilize and open new lines of communication to limited partners and general partners alike.”

Last month, Matthew Thornton, a Sixpoint managing director, and Bobby Farina, who leads the firm's San Francisco office, were promoted to partners at the firm. 

Sixpoint Partners is an investment bank focused on a diversified set of services for the middle-market private equity industry. The firm's core areas of focus include primary fund placement, secondaries advisory and co-investment placement. 

The majority of the firm's fund placement clients are private equity funds seeking to raise between $200 million and $2 billion.
