Headline 2% management fee is a kind of illusion; GPs agnostic on support capital.

Fees and expenses: From our Fees and Expenses Survey 2020, a look at how respondents structure management fees, as well as how they decide on questions about fee and expense allocations not addressed in the documents. The headline finding: that while the 2 percent headline management fee remains the norm, despite growing fund sizes, that headline fee only tells you so much, given the underlying complexities.

Support capital: As GPs become “agnostic” on the source of support capital, secondaries firms that don’t have the expertise to co-invest are losing out on opportunities to firms that do, according to two Aberdeen Standard Investments senior executives.
