WATCH: Carried interest – a top up from ‘comfort’ to ‘super-comfort’?

Junior private fund management staff are increasingly concerned the carried interest boat will pass them by, so may look to advisory positions for greater financial security

While senior staff see the guarantee of carried interest as a means to top up their wealth from “comfort” to “super-comfort”, juniors are considering their options on concerns they won’t be eligible for the payout, according to Simon Havers, consultant at recruitment firm Odgers Berndtson, former head of Baird Capital and chairman of the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association.
