What to consider if you’re thinking about leaving your firm; Insights Survey 2020 deadline extended.

Firms are more likely to put up a fight to keep carry in the event of a carry-earning employee leaving, as competition increases and there is less carry to go around, says Fox & Partners’ Catriona Watt. She outlines considerations for those deciding to leave their firms in this guest column.

Partner move: Former Clifford Chance US Private Funds group head Roger Singer has joined Gibson Dunn & Crutcher as an investment partner in New York. It is his first professional move since 1996. Singer advises clients on private equity, real estate, natural resources, infrastructure and debt funds, and works with a range of clients, from first-time fund sponsors to the asset management divisions of major financial services firms.
