YFM Equity Partners appointed Paul Cook to the new role of chief operating officer following a six-month project management role.
Before joining YFM full-time, Cook was part of the team that helped the firm complete its management buy-out from London-based investment firm GLE Group last September.
Cook did not return a request for comment by press time.
In his new role, Cook, will be responsible for the finance, human resources and compliance functions at YFM Equity Partners, including fund accounting and reporting.
Before working with YFM he was managing director of Access IS, a manufacturer of electronic equipment. He has also been finance director at 3i portfolio company Sonatest, an ultrasonic and x-ray testing equipment manufacturer, and Marlow Foods, a division of Premier Foods.
“[Cook] brings a wealth of financial experience through his work in a variety of industries including many backed by private equity,” said in a statement, David Hall, managing director of YFM.
YFM, which was established in 1982, has five regional UK offices and typically invests up to £10 million (€12 million; $16.4 million) in fast growing businesses in the UK.
