He is joined by John Perkins, who will take on an operating partner role with the investment team. Perkins joined from former Ampersand portfolio company Talecris Biotherapeutics, a US biotech company.

In other news, Christopher Davis has joined private equity firm Larsen MacColl Partners as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Prior to this role Davis held a similar position at merchant bank and private equity fund management company Perseus.
