AnaCap promotes COO, head of IR

UK-based AnaCap Financial Partners promoted chief operating officer, Michael Edwards, and head of investor relations, Amber Hilkene, to partner as it continues to amass capital for its third flagship fund.

Hilkene, who handles the firm’s investor relations, fundraising and public relations activities, joined AnaCap in 2006 shortly after the firm closed its debut fund on €300 million. Edwards joined AnaCap in 2007 and is responsible for overseeing and managing the firm’s operations.

The promotions come as the European financial services specialist races towards a target €900 million final close for AnaCap Financial Partners III, which came to market at the beginning of 2014, held a first close on €500 million in June 2014 and reportedly held a further interim close on €700 million this summer.

“As we continue to grow as a firm, it’s fantastic to bring into the partnership two individuals who have been so dedicated to the firm for so long,” AnaCap co-managing partner Joe Giannamore said in a firm statement. “Expanding the partnership gives us a broader base to develop the business in a robust manner.”

It is understood that the firm is using Asante Capital, a placement agent, as part of the fundraise.
