Apex hires Wall Street vet Strachman

Daniel Strachman brings over 20 years’ experience to his new role at the fund administrator.

Apex Funds Services, the global funds administrator, has appointed Wall Street veteran Daniel Strachman as head of business development.

Strachman will be charged with driving growth in the firm’s US offering. A well-known figure in the financial services industry, he previously held positions at Cantor Fitzgerald and Morgan Stanley. For 16 years he led A&C Advisors, where he gave strategic guidance, counsel and support to investment management companies and institutional investors. He has also authored nine investment strategy books.

His appointment follows a string of additions to Apex’s European teams in July 2016. The firm hired a former CCO from State Street, a senior partner from KPMG and a senior VP from JP Morgan to positions at its London and Luxembourg offices.

The firm secured a $40 million loan from credit investment firm Highbridge Principal Strategies in August 2016, which has been used to fund its global expansion.

Established in Bermuda in 2003, Apex is one of the world’s largest independent fund administration and middle office solutions providers, and has a staff of over 600.
