The Paris-based firm appointed Jacques-Francois de Prest as its new chief financial officer.

Astorg, the Paris-based PE manager with €8.2 billion in AUM, has appointed Jacques-Francois de Prest as its new chief financial officer.

De Prest has spent more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry, with his latest role at Luxembourg-based Millicom-Tigo, where he managed the finance function as group financial controller and chief accounting officer.

He also served as CFO of the procurement arm of Vodafone, a company where he spent much of his career in various finance roles, and in different locations, including the UK and Luxembourg. Prior to this, de Prest was based in Morocco working for Morocco Telecom. He began his career in France at telecoms company SFR.

“Both Astorg and its portfolio companies will benefit from his proven ability to align France with the overall company strategy,” the firm said.

De Prest, whose new role begins this month, will be based in Astorg’s Luxembourg office, according to his LinkedIn profile.
