Bain finance director steps down

PE Manager tracks third party service providers: Bain’s Alaina Danley leaves for DMS Offshore; Cordium makes its third add-on in three months; eFront launches a new portfolio monitoring tool; more

• Bain Capital lost its finance director to fund services firm DMS Offshore Investment Services. Ex-Bain director Alaina Danley will join Jennifer Dimitri, formerly director of investment compliance at the University of North Carolina endowment system, as associate directors for a DMS FATCA task force.

• Regulatory service provider Cordium acquired Zodiac Advisory Services, a provider of compliance, risk, accounting and governance services for the investment management industry in Malta. The acquisition is Cordium’s third in as many months, following the purchases of reporting and accounting services firm The Sigma Partnership and accounting and regulatory compliance consultants HedgeStart.

• eFront is launching a portfolio monitoring tool called FrontPM. It allows a private equity firm to monitor the assets of their portfolio companies by gathering and reconciling data from across the portfolio on an automatic basis.

• Indus Valley Partners, a technology provider to alternative asset managers, launched IVP RAPTOR cloud, a cloud platform designed to host GPs’ data for regulatory filings.

• CBIZ MHM, a New York-based provider of private equity due diligence services, promoted Mitchell Plattman to managing director.

• Kurt Salmon, a San Francisco-based management consultancy, named Bruce Cohen as head of its private equity and strategy practice. He previously had been a senior partner in its retail and consumer products group.

• Fund administration firm the Aztec Group has been authorized to provide depositary services in relation to private equity funds in Luxembourg that fall within the scope of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD). Aztec follows in the footsteps of Alter Domus, which received a similar authorization earlier this year.

• Professional service firm BDO promoted Scott Cacurak to national director of transaction advisory services (TAS). Cacurak, based in the firm's Los Angeles office, was previously an assurance partner at the firm. BDO also appointed Fred Campos (based in South Florida) who joined from EY and Tony Enlow (based in Dallas) who joined from accounting firm Cherry Bekeart, as directors to support Cacurak.

• Societe Generale Securities Services launched an Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) reporting package. Societe Generale offers reporting options, ranging from basic data compilation and AIFMD compliant reports, to complete “A-Z” reporting outsourcing.

• Cavendish Corporate Finance, a UK sell-side M&A advisory firm, announced the appointment of Joe Stelzer, formerly the firm’s chief operating officer, as its managing partner.
