Blue Point CFO steps down

The Cleveland-based private equity firm appointed a chief administrative officer after losing its long-time CFO.

Blue Point Capital Partners chief financial officer Lisa Root is retiring after more than two decades overseeing the firm’s finance unit.

Following the departure, Colleen Greenrod was named chief administrative officer at Blue Point; while Jonathan Pressnell has rejoined the firm from Greenbriar Equity Group where he was a principal.

Sonali Aggarwal, formerly of Fortress Investment Group, was also named an associate.

Greenrod brings more than 15 years of experience to her new role, including working in private equity fund administration at One Equity Partners – formerly the buyout investment arm of JP Morgan. She also had stints at Citadel Investment Group and Arthur Andersen.

Sean Ward, a partner at Blue Point, said Greenrod will manage all of the private equity firm’s finance, compliance and administrative functions. “We look forward to building on our strong operational foundation under her leadership,” he said.

Aggarwal and Pressnell will assist with the firm’s investment origination, transaction review and portfolio company-related matters.

Blue Point is based in Cleveland and manages more than $800 million in capital.
