Campbell Lutyens beefs up senior team

The London-based placement agent appoints two new partners and three principals.

Campbell Lutyens, a London-based placement agent, has appointed two new partners and three new principals at its London and New York offices, according to a statement.

Brian Chase, who joined Campbell Lutyens in New York in 2010 and Richard von Gusovius, who joined Campbell in London 2006, have been promoted to partners.

Chase has helped develop the firm's North American real assets business, and prior to joining was at the Carlyle Group.

After joining the secondary advisory team, Von Gusovius held responsibility for investor relationships in German-speaking Europe and worked closely with German GP clients' fundraising mandates such as Holtzbrinck, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG and Capital Management Partners.

Rishi Chhabria will become principal at Campbell after joining the agency in 2011 and has worked with US investors in the Midwest and Southeast. He had previously worked at The Blackstone Group.

He is joined by Chiara Magana, who was in placement advisory and execution and has nine years of fund placement experience, and David Perrin, who worked in secondary advising, specifically in fund portfolio sales, structured secondaries and liquid offerings, the statement said.

“We continue to have a very stable team which has allowed us to develop talent internally demonstrated by eight of our twelve partners and all our principals having been promoted internally,” Campbell Lutyens managing partner David Perrin said.

Campbell Lutyens, founded in 1988, has 85 staff across its offices in London, New York and Hong Kong and acts as a placement agent to private equity, infrastructure, energy and debt fund managers.
