Carey Olsen boosts Asia PE team

The offshore specialist firm has appointed a counsel in Singapore at the same time as Mourant Ozannes increased its Channel Islands staff.

Carey Olsen has appointed Andrew Tually as counsel in its Singapore office. The offshore-specialist law firm said increased client demand for private fund advisory services in Asia drove the move.

Tually had been an associate based in the firm’s Guernsey office.

Fellow offshore firm Mourant Ozannes appointed Frances Watson as partner in its Guernsey office. She will focus on private funds advisory work. Watson was previously a partner at Ogier, based in Luxembourg. Prior to this, she practiced in Allen & Overy’s corporate finance team.

The firm also promoted Jersey-based private fund lawyers Alistair Horn and Jon Woolrich to partner.
