CVC poaches Park Hill executive

PE Manager tracks third party service providers: A Park Hill managing principal heads to CVC; fund administrator Moore Group names its private equity director; and Duff & Phelps loses a managing director.

• Blackstone’s Park Hill Group has lost Martin Schimmler to CVC Capital Partners. Schimmler had spent the last five years at Park Hill as managing principal before leaving to join CVC as a managing director of investor relations.

• Former JP Morgan executive director Nicholas Ellmore joined Japanese bank Nomura’s Australia office. Ellmore will take on the role of executive director of debt origination and leveraged finance, according to the Wall Street Journal.

• Jersey-based fund administrator Moore Group appointed Jon Trigg as private equity director. Trigg joined Moore from State Street Jersey. In his previous role he was responsible for relationships with mid-cap private equity clients.

• Valuation specialists Duff & Phelps lost managing director Steve Shanke to PricewaterhouseCoopers US (PwC). Shanker joins PwC as a partner and will be valuations leader for the firm’s central region based in Chicago. PwC also hired former Dewey & LeBoeuf tax and private equity lawyer Todd McArthur. McArthur will take on the role of tax principal at PwC and will be based in Washington.

• Management consultancy firm AT Kearney has hired Greg Schooley as a partner. Previously Schooley led the internal consulting group for venture capital firm JH Whitney & Co. His work at AT Kearney will see him focus on helping private equity funds select investments.

• Fund administration firm Alter Domus Group has made a change to its corporate governance model. The group has now been divided to create a board of directors and a group executive committee with two further sub-committees, the audit & risk committee and the HR committee. Dominique Robyns heads up Alter Domus as chairman of the board and Laurent Vanderweyen has been appointed as chief executive.
