Debevoise promotes four in private funds

The US firm has made several promotions across its US and European offices.

Four private fund lawyers are among those made counsel by US law firm Debevoise & Plimpton.

Among them are New York-based Jason Auerbach, whose clients include HarbourVest Partners; Serhat Krause, who advises on private equity real estate, and Michael Sabin, who advises on fund restructuring.

Gregory Larkin was promoted to counsel in Washington DC, and focuses on advising private funds on regulatory and compliance matters.

The move follows the recent appointment of Simon Witney, former King & Wood Mallesons lawyer, to its private funds practice. Witney will join the firm’s London office in mid-January as a consultant.
