How could two decades have slipped by so quickly? It seems barely possible that we are celebrating the 20th year of the CFO & COO New York Forum this month. The ambition was clear from the first forum in 2004: David Rubenstein and Stephen Schwarzman were the keynote speakers, and the fact that the inaugural forum sold out was an auspicious sign for an event that has gone from strength to strength ever since.
To commemorate this year’s milestone, we’ve produced this special edition of Private Funds CFO that takes an affectionate look back at how the event has grown and talks to the CFOs that have helped shape private equity over those two decades. We unveil our inaugural New Faces of Finance list that demonstrates how the private markets industry is embracing a younger, more diverse talent pool. And we sift through the archives to see how the role of the CFO has pivoted into one of such strategic importance.
And it’s not too late to register for this year’s event at the Sheraton Times Square New York on January 18-19. Click here for more details.
