Goodwin hires four KWM PE partners

They will join former colleague Michael Halford who moved firms in October.

Goodwin Procter has hired four private funds partners from embattled law firm King & Wood Mallesons.

The partners include Ed Hall, a private funds lawyer whose clients include Capital Dynamics; Laura Charkin, an international funds tax partner, Patrick Deasy, who has acted for Patron Capital and Abraaj; and Ajay Pathak, an India -focused private equity lawyer.

They join ex-colleague Michael Halford, who left his role as head of investment funds at KWM in October. Halford tendered his resignation alongside four other partners, including private equity partner Jonathan Pittal.

The partners are the latest in a long line to leave KWM, which issued a second notice of intention to appoint administrators on Tuesday.
