Hamilton Lane buys Schott Capital

PE Manager tracks third party service providers: Hamilton Lane adds to its client offerings by acquiring Schott Capital Management and investment bank Altium opens in Germany.

• Hamilton Lane has acquired private equity service provider Shott Capital Management to add distribution management services to its offering. Schott’s services will complement the advisory group's portfolio monitoring and reporting services, said Hamilton Lane chief executive, Mario Giannini, in a statement.

• Placement agent and advisory firm Atlantic-Pacific Capital has appointed Brian Wade as partner. Wade, formerly managing director at Credit Suisse Asset Management, will work closely with institutional investors in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast US.

• Risk consultancy group Kroll Advisory Solutions has appointed Miang Lee as associate managing director to its investigation and disputes practice in Hong Kong. Lee was previously a senior member within the forensic accounting department of an international accounting firm working on financial due diligence, fraud investigations and anti-corruption compliance.
 
• Investment bank Altium has opened an office in Frankfurt. The office, Altium’s ninth in Europe, aims to expand the firm’s debt advisory and financial restructuring practice overseas. 

• Throgmorton, the accountancy and back office service provider, has hired Carolyn Twist, a former executive director and European controller at Morgan Stanley. Twist was added to bolster Throgmorton’s outsourced COO/CFO service and generate new business, according to a statement.
