The appointments, which include former UFICO private investments director Peter Landauer, bring the number of managing directors at the firm to five.

Harken Capital Securities, a provider of private equity fund placement and secondaries advisory services, has appointed Peter Landauer and Jeffery Moy as managing directors.

Landauer joins the firm from the University of Florida Investment Corporation (UFICO), where he worked for 12 years. Most recently he served as director of private investments and oversaw a portfolio of 125 funds and $1.2 billion of committed capital across private equity, natural resources and real estate, according to the statement. He was previously UFICO's director of real assets and as chief operating officer.

Moy joins Harken with over 20 years of investing experience, most recently as head of private equity for alternative investment advisory firm Central Park Group. Before that, he served as head of private equity at financial advisory firm Rockefeller & Company. During his tenure he has managed over $5 billion in commitments in more than 300 funds.

The hires bring the number of managing directors at the firm to five, according to Harken’s website.

Harken provides secondaries transaction services to institutional clients as well as fund placement services to buyout, growth, healthcare, real estate, energy and other industry-focused private equity, real asset and venture capital firms.

In the past four years, eight Harken clients have closed 12 funds, representing over $2.5 billion in primary commitments. During this period, Harken's secondaries clients have closed over $850 million of transaction volume in 25 secondaries deals, according to the statement.

The firm is based in Boston and has offices in San Francisco, Seattle and Washington DC.
