HealthCare Royalty Partners names COO

The healthcare investment firm named Christopher White as chief operating officer, a newly established position.

HealthCare Royalty Partners created a new chief operating officer position with Christopher White taking on the role. He will oversee all non-investment operations for the firm including legal, compliance, finance and investor services. His appointment is effective December 18, 2014.

White most recently served as head of investment banking and managing director at investment bank Janney Montgomery Scott. Prior to joining Janney in 2011, White was at alternatives firm Cowen Group where he held a number of senior management positions including chief administrative officer, chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

HealthCare Royalty, which invests primarily in healthcare product assets, announced the closing on $1.5 billion on its third fund in October. Fund III’s limited partner base includes investors throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and the Middle East, representing public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, foundations, and endowments.
