LeapFrog expands team with IR director hire

Xenia Loos has joined from AAC Capital as the social impact investment firm pushes to expand its team worldwide.

Social impact investment firm LeapFrog Investments has expanded its investor relations team with the hire of Xenia Loos as director of investor relations and co-investments. She will be based in the firm’s Edinburgh office.

Loos previously led investor relations and fundraising at European mid-market firm AAC Capital, where she worked since 2007.

Loos was also recently involved with industry trade group the Dutch Private Equity and Venture Capital Association as a member of the investor relations committee, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Loos will be reporting to LeapFrog partner Nick Moon, who leads investor relations, co-investments and strategic partnerships for the firm globally. Moon was promoted to partner in January.

LeapFrog has been increasing its headcount and promoting partners as the firm prepares to launch its third fund, according to sister publication Private Equity International. Felix Olale joined as a partner last month to lead African healthcare investments and Karima Ola joined the firm in January as a partner focused on African investments.

In 2015, the firm made a string of hires incuding Vaughan Lindsay, who joined as a director to lead LeapFrog Labs, the firm’s research and development hub; Simon Martin, who joined as a director to help drive value-creation initiatives across LeapFrog’s portfolio companies; and Akua Owusu-Akonor, who joined as associate director to work on human resources, recruiting and change management for LeapFrog’s portfolio companies.
