O’Melveny & Myers promotes three PE lawyers

Aleksander Bakic, Nikole Kingston and Jeeho Lee were named as partners, effective January 1 2017.

Three private equity lawyers are among a group of eight O’Melveny & Myers lawyers to be named as partners in the latest promotion round.

Aleksander Bakic is based in the firm’s London office, where he advises European and emerging markets private fund sponsors, institutional investors, private equity firms and sovereign wealth funds. He is primarily focused on European mid-market and African buyouts.

Nikole Kingston represents private equity firms, individual shareholders, owners and principals in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. She is based in the firm’s Newport Beach office.

Jeeho Lee, based in the Los Angeles office, advises on high-yield and investment grade debt offerings, IPOs, and equity and debt tender offers.

The promotions will be effective on 1 January. The private equity practice is headed by Paul Scrivano, who divides his time between the firm’s New York, San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. He was appointed in January 2016, after Steven Tonsfeldt joined Cooley.
