Placement agent sued for racial discrimination; inaugural Private Funds Leaders Study

Veteran fundraiser sues ex-firm; we introduce our inaugural Private Funds Leaders survey.

Mercury: Veteran fundraiser Alan Pardee is suing the firm he co-founded, Mercury Capital Advisors, for racial discrimination. Pardee’s suit claims the case is about “a Wall Street firm that has, over the past 10 years, remade itself into a safe space for white men only.” The firm says Pardee’s claims are “meritless.” Chris Witkowsky reports.

Survey: Take our inaugural Private Funds Leaders survey, in which we quiz senior leaders about the direction of travel for the private funds industry. You can learn more about the survey here, and complete it here. The survey will take about 10 minutes, and we will not identify which firms responded in the final study, which will be released later this year.
