GA promotes Hedley to managing director

General Atlantic has promoted Patricia Hedley, head of the firm’s global marketing and communications group, to managing director. Hedley is also a member of the resources group that assists portfolio companies with operational issues such as branding and investor relations.

“I have seen GA’s growth and evolution over a long time and our focus on helping growth companies grow has been a consistent priority for us. Our collaborative global approach and the quality of our people makes GA a very special place and I am thrilled to be part of it,” said Hedley.

Prior to General Atlantic, Hedley worked with MediVision, a chain of ophthalmic surgery centers, when it was started and funded by Bain Capital. She previously served as an associate consultant with Bain & Company.

Additionally, General Atlantic promoted the following investment executives to managing director: Alexander Chulack, Cory Eaves and Brett Rochkind, all based in New York; and Gabriel Caillaux, based in London.

General Atlantic has a team of over 75 investment professionals from nine offices in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America.  Founded in 1980, GA manages $15 billion in capital and invests about $2 billion per year in growth companies.
