Proskauer adds partner to multi-tranche finance group

Kristen Campana will work out of the law firm’s New York office and joins from Bracewell & Giuliani.

Law firm Proskauer has hired Kristen Campana as a partner in its multi-tranche finance group. She is based in the New York office and joins from Bracewell & Giuliani, where she was also a partner. She represents a wide variety of alternative lenders in domestic and cross-border financings across the capital structure. Campana also has bankruptcy and workout experience for distressed investors, according to a statement from Proskauer.

“The alternative lending market is rapidly expanding and the needs of our clients continue to grow. Kristen provides a special opportunity for us to expand our team. Her extensive experience in alternative lending, distressed investing and oil and gas transactions further strengthens our transactional capabilities and the skill set we can offer our clients,” said Steven Ellis, co-head of the multi-tranche group, who is based in Boston.

Proskauer's multi-tranche group specialises in representing providers of alternative forms of debt to support leveraged buyouts, recapitalisations, refinancings, and strategic and distressed debt acquisitions. The group works on a range of debt products, including unitranche, split-collateral, second lien, mezzanine, holding company and cross-border financings across industries.
