• Audit and accounting firm Rothstein Kass has opened an office in Dublin. The new office will focus on auditing investment funds and special purpose vehicles domiciled in Ireland, according to a statement.
• Management consultancy firm AT Kearney has promoted Robert Haas as head of the firm’s private equity practice. Based in New York, Haas will work with GPs in building their 100-day plans with portfolio companies, restructurings and realizing investments.
• SolomonEdwards, which provides chief financial officers advisory services, has expanded its private equity practice with a string of hires. The practice, which helps firms comply with financial and regulatory reporting requirements, will see Robert McCabe, Denyse Lessard and Barbara Huang move to the firm’s New York office. Meanwhile Scott Cameron, Michael Rogan and Katy Lupo will work out of Chicago while Michael Kovacich will be based in Atlanta.
• Larry Slaughter has joined financial advisory firm Lazard as vice chairman for investment banking. Slaughter was previously co-head of North American investment banking for JPMorgan.
• Placement agent De Luna Partners has appointed Michael Barrett as partner. Previously Barrett was managing director of private equity with financial services firm Mesirow Financial.
• Citigroup Australia has hired Aidan Allen as managing director and head of general industries and financial sponsors, including private equity. He joins the bank from UBS, where he served as managing director and co-head of financial sponsors and industrials.
