Stifel goes west; data outsourcing trends

Fund finance: Stifel Financial expanded its fund finance group to the West Coast with a new managing director, and more hires are on the way, the bank says.

Outsourcing: From our Private Funds Leaders Survey, we look at some answers our respondents gave to questions about outsourcing. We find that costly tech stacks are accelerating the trend towards outsourcing, and that the areas most likely to be affected are fund operations and portfolio management.
