Thor Equities nabs Apollo’s CFO

Fess Wofse will replace Mike Schurer who left the firm in January.

Fess Wofse has been named chief financial officer at Thor Equities, an urban real estate development, leasing and management firm.

Wofse will be responsible for all global finance operations at the firm, including managing and reporting on the performance of the company and its investments, as well as overseeing its accounting and risk management departments.

He joins the firm from Apollo Global Real Estate Management, where he was also CFO. Previous roles include director of finance at Citi Property Investors, and senior manager at Pricewaterhousecoopers.

Wofse replaces Mike Schurer who left the firm in January to pursue philanthropic ventures. He continues his affiliation with the firm as chief advisor, working primarily on investments in Mexico under the umbrella of Thor Urbana Capital, an investment firm in Mexico City in which Thor owns a stake.
