Waud Capital makes senior HR hire

Tim Lawler has worked in private equity human capital management for much of his career.

Waud Capital Partners, a lower mid-market private equity firm, has appointed Tim Lawler as principal of their human capital team.

Lawler, who has 15 years of human resources management experience largely in private equity, will begin his role at the Chicago-based firm immediately.

He will lead the expansion of Waud’s management teams in new investment areas and provide HR support to portfolio companies.

Prior to his role at Waud Capital, Lawler founded T4 Capital Talent, an advisory and executive search firm catering to private equity funds and their portfolio companies. He also held similar roles at Highland Capital Management, and a Chicago-based boutique executive search firm.

Lawler’s hire follows the appointment of David Bellaire as operating partner in December. He joined from Bain & Company.
