Willis Towers Watson opens Cork office

The new office bolsters the listed global advisory firm’s European AIFM capability.

Willis Towers Watson, a fund management and advisory firm, is launching an asset management operation in Cork, Ireland.

Eoin Motherway will head the operation, which will operate under the Towers Watson Investment Management Ireland subsidiary. He is currently TWIMI’s head of investment operations in Ireland.

TWIMI already operates alternative investment funds management services in the country, with an AUM of €6 billion.

TWIMI will also provide funds with investor on-boarding, compliance and accounting services.
Europe-focused fund administrator FundRock last week opened an office in Dublin, citing client moves and market reaction to Brexit for the move to Ireland.
