Actis bolsters investor relations team

The emerging markets specialist has appointed fundraising veteran Marc Nahum as a distribution director for Europe and the Middle East within its investor development group.

Actis, the London-based private equity and infrastructure investor focused on emerging markets, has added to its investor development group with the appointment of Marc Nahum as distribution director for Europe and the Middle East.

Nahum was formerly director of client relations at RREEF, the alternative investments arm of Deutsche Bank. He was also previously a director in the investor relations team at The Carlyle Group and a member of the private fund group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, which was acquired by Credit Suisse in 2000.

A statement from Actis said Nahum had been involved in more than 50 fundraisings worth more than $70 billion in total.

Actis’ investor development group, which is led by partner Jonathan Bond, manages relations with the firm’s 118 existing investors and potential new investors.

The firm has $4.7 billion under management and a portfolio of investments in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
