Brookfield director takes up CFO role at tech-focused PE firm

Tom Morrell has taken on the role of CFO at UK-based Grafton Capital

Former Brookfield director Tom Morrell has left the firm to become CFO at London-based Grafton Capital, a growth private equity firm focused on technology companies. He will be the firm’s first CFO — the role was previously handled by a team internally, according to a spokesman for the firm.

At Brookfield, Morrell was responsible for the financial and operational oversight of the firm’s European PE investments. Before Brookfield, he was at capital markets advisor Akur Capital, and before that, BDO.
