Denning & Company names new president

The San Francisco-based placement agent has promoted managing director and COO Jill Kitazaki to president of the firm. Kitazaki joined Denning & Company in 2002.

San Francisco-based placement agent Denning & Company has promoted managing director and chief operations officer Jill Kitazaki to president of the firm.

Kitazaki joined Denning in 2002, prior to which she was a senior member of the partners group at Whitney & Company responsible for working with the firm's institutional limited partners across multiple investment areas including private equity, private debt, public equity, and public debt.

Kitazaki previously worked with Denning & Company chief executive officer Paul Denning from 1996-2000 at Hambrecht & Quist, later named JP Morgan H&Q, where she was responsible for origination and placement of private equity partnerships. In her new post at the company, Kitazaki will be responsible for all aspects of private equity advisory services.

Denning will continue in his role as chief executiev officer.
