GPB Capital hires finance MD

Anisha Malhotra joins the firm from Goldman Sachs, where she was a portfolio manager and debt underwriter.

GPB Capital, a New York-based private equity firm, has appointed Anisha Malhotra as managing director of accounting and finance and head of capital markets.

She will focus on leading the firm’s capital markets activities, including structuring and executing acquisition financings, refinancings and amendments for GPB Capital’s operating companies.

Malhotra joins from Goldman Sachs, where she was most recently vice-president overseeing portfolio management and debt underwriting. She worked there for over 11 years.

The hire follows the firm’s appointment of Craig Goos as managing partner and chief operating officer last month. He joined from North Capital Investment Technology, where he was founder and president.

GPB Capital, which has over $1 billion in assets under management, appointed a new chief financial officer in September. Macrina Kgil joined from OneMain Holdings and was previously at Fortress Investment Group.
